The Chavurah is an independent, student-run space for progressive Jews at Penn. We are primarily focused on building community through bi-weekly shabbat dinners in which we sometimes incorporate some tikun olam (social justice) or learning from progressive Jewish guests. We're part of the national network Judaism on Our Own Terms, a growing community of independent Jewish groups across the country including Harvard's Progressive Jewish Alliance and Brown's Friday Night Jews.
